Nathan McNatt Jr.
Born in Washington, DC began dancing in 2004 with the liturgical Dance Ministry at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. He attended Duke Ellington School of the Arts (Director: Charles Augins), while also being a founding member of the Katherine Smith Contemporary Dance Ensemble (KSCDE) under the Artistic Direction of Katherine Smith and Assistant director Shene Keys. Prior to KSCDE he was a member of Vision Contemporary Dance Ensemble (VCDE) also under the Direction of Katherine Smith. Throughout his years Dancing at Duke Ellington, with VCDE, and KSCDE he had many performance opportunities such as at the International Association of Blacks in Dance Conference, and The Maya Angelou Forever stamp dedication ceremony. He has attended intensives at The Ailey School in New York and The Rock School in Philadelphia. He is now a Senior at The University of the Arts where he is on track to get his BFA in Dance in May 2021. Nathan has been a member of Eleone Dance Theatre since 2018 and has had performance opportunities such as The International Association of Black in Dance Conference, The Vie, and The Grenier School annual Gala. Upon graduation Nathan wants to pursue a career in the art of dance, to reach his ultimate goal of being the Artistic Director of his own dance company.
